Dozens of parishioners and friends brought their pets to St. William to have them blessed by Father John.  All attendees were on their best behavior and there were only a few low growls heard.  Father John read from the Book of Blessings and added a few appropriate scripture passages.

It is a long standing practice to have pets blessed annually since they occupy a special place in our lives and we naturally want the best for them in return.

A member of the local Humane Society, Ashley Woods, was on hand to accept the pet food that was donated by the participants.
