Thomas reports to the Naval Academy on Wednesday 06/27/07, also know as "Induction Day. He will be sworn in as a Midshipman in the Naval Service and will begin a six and half weeks of "Plebe Summer" which is basically a "boot camp." "Parents' Weekend" will follow on 10-12 August, and the academic year will begin after that.
The Plebe Indoctrination System continues until "Herndon" (the last plebe evolution) in May. Thomas hopes to accept a commission as a Second Lieutenant in the Marine Corps upon graduation.
