CCW Fall Festival 2006 038
CCW Fall Festival

“Hot dogs, soda pop, popcorn.” Sound like the circus?  Well, not really – it was the CCW Fall Festival held on the church grounds on Saturday, Nov. 18.  On a beautiful day, sunny and cool, hundreds of children and their parents participated in the many games that Karen Parks planned for the children. A new addition this year was a pony ride that was an obvious hit with the younger patrons.

The Parish Hall was full of arts and crafters vendors, some new and some veterans, according to Debbie Raiford. Of course, there was the well-stocked table of baked goods that Berta Buck and her helpers set up. In the Teen Room, the CYM sold gently used books, planning to use the profits for their mission trip in the summer of 2007.

Thanks to an unexpected, but well written, article in the Brunswick News, visitors came from all over Glynn and McIntosh counties. Sue Kilchenstein’s kitchen assistants prepared and served over 200 meals of delicious hot dogs, barbecue, chips, baked beans, brownies and Rice Krispie squares.

As always, the Family Fall Festival was a cooperative work of many ladies (and gentlemen) of St. William Parish. Special blessings to everyone as you prepare for the Feast of Thanksgiving.
