The introductory meeting was held Sunday, 11-5-2006, at 4 pm at Taylors Methodist Church in Brunswick.
Rev. Jim Emery was the host pastor and introduced the Panknin family to representatives of 21 local churches who pledged to provide funds and volunteers for the project.
Rev. Andy Lamon, Associate Pastor at St. Simons United Methodist, gave the invocation.
Rev. Marsha Emery, Pastor, Lakeside United Methodist, gave the scripture lesson on Psalm 127,1 and II Corinthians 8, 1-12.
Rev. Bob Hicks, Executive Director of Habitat for Humanity in this area gave an inspiring message about the significance of Christians helping Christians.
The Covenant signing ceremony followed with each representative signing the document pledging their church's help.
Following a hymn of praise all went to the site and participated in the groundbreaking.
Each week a different church will provide volunteers.

Our Parishioners have been assigned Saturday, January 20, 2007, at 8 am as our time to work.
