Our pastor here at St. William Catholic Church, Father John, has been made a Monsignor.

In an impressive Investiture ceremony at the Cathedral of St. John in Savannah, Father John and four other priests of the Diocese were given beautiful plaques from the Vatican to signify this momentous event.

The Cathedral holds approximately 1000 people and it was nearly filled.  Parishioners from St. William, estimated at well over 100, made the trip in two chartered buses and numerous personal vehicles. 

The St. William Bloomers help arrange flowers for the occasion and even provided some of the local beauties.

A reception followed in St. Vincent's cafeteria located behind the Cathedral.

Overall, it was an incredible day, one that will stick in our memories for years to come.
